Recommendable Parks in Seoul, the Autumn has come!

[Bukhansan National Park 북한산국립공원]

The Bukhansan National Park (북한산국립공원) in Seoul and Gyeonggi covers an area of 79.92 km2 (30.86 sq mi) and was established on 2 April 1983. Bukhansan means “mountains north of the Han River.”

Bukhansan Mountain is a mountain representing Seoul, which 5 million people visit every year. It is not easy to hike up to the top, but the “dulle trail(둘레길: Dulle -Gil) allows one to enjoy the beauty of the mountain without too much effort. Bukhansan Dulle Trail is a low-lying, horizontal walking trail created by connecting and refining existing side paths, allowing for a leisurely walk along the foot of the mountain. Most of the section is shaded by trees, so visitors can feel cool while walking up even on hot summer days.

After hiking, there is another place that you would love to visit! It’s a bakery cafe call “Highground Bakery”. This bakery shows amazing view and high quality of bakery. Family unit guests are the main customers but hikers have been spotted as well.

Pine cone bread is the signature menu of the Bakery, filled with cream inside while chocolate frosting on the outside. There are many kinds of bread and drinks, chose the one and have a little rest to your feet by sitting on the outside of the Bakery.

[Haneul Park 하늘공원]

There are many parks in Seoul, but this one is the most mind-healing place. Haneul Park is one of five parks that make up World Cup Park, together with Peace Park, Nanjicheon Park, Nanji Hangang Park, and Noeul Park. It was established for the purpose of restoring the ecological environment so operates its facilities by using natural energy.

It features a silver grass field, mixed grassland, rock garden, sunflower field, observatory rest area, and wind power generator. Among the various parts of the World Cup Park, it is located the closest to the sky and shows the transformation from a barren landfill restored to nature. The best autumn mood parks in Seoul.

[Seoul Forest 서울숲]

Seoul Forest is a city park opened on June 18, 2005 in what was originally a water treatment facility. Consisting of four themed parks spread over approximately 595,000 ㎡ of land, Seoul Forest is an eco-friendly zone appreciated not only by the people of the city but also those visiting Seoul.

A shallow pond with a water depth of 3cm captures the surrounding beautiful scenery like a painting.
It is one of the famous photo spots in Seoul Forest that is always crowded with people trying to capture the wonderful scenery with metasequoia projected on it, making it even more enjoyable to see as various landscapes are created depending on the viewing position. A group of horse statue represents the history of the park that once was used as race track. It was made to commemorate the fact that this place was used as a racecourse before Seoul Forest was created.
