Experience the Magic of the Winter Festival at Seoul Botanic Park
Looking for the perfect winter getaway in Seoul? Seoul Botanic Park invites you to its annual Winter Festival, a delightful seasonal event running from December 2, 2024, to February 2025. With enchanting Christmas displays, vibrant tropical orchid exhibitions, and interactive activities, the park offers an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. What to Expect at Seoul Botanic Park’s Winter Festival
1. Discover Hidden Winter Fairies in the Mediterranean Hall
The Mediterranean Hall transforms into a whimsical Christmas wonderland with the theme “The Winter Fairy Has Arrived!” This exhibit features 60 adorable “Winter Fairies” crafted from Mediterranean plants and festive decorations. These fairies are hidden throughout the hall, turning your visit into a fun treasure hunt.

Adding to the festive ambiance, enjoy live marimba performances on December 21 and 28 at 3:00 PM. The soothing sounds of this traditional African percussion instrument, combined with the warmth of the greenhouse, create a magical holiday experience.
2. Tropical Orchid Exhibition in the Tropical Hall
From December 3, 2024, to February 2025, the Tropical Hall hosts “Today’s Orchid,” an exhibition showcasing over 60 varieties of tropical orchids. Admire stunning species like Vanda, Cattleya, Oncidium, Dendrobium, Phalaenopsis, and Paphiopedilum.
A highlight of the exhibition is the rare and vibrant Vanda orchids. These tropical beauties are rarely seen in Korea, and for this special event, the park has imported 28 Vanda varieties and 16 rare orchid species—over 600 plants in total—from Thailand.
To enhance your experience, explore the photo zones decorated with Southeast Asian traditional crafts, creating the perfect backdrop for memorable photos.
